Six Steps To Start A Share Portfolio

So you are going to start your investment portfolio and begin to invest in some shares. Here are some steps to start you in the right direction.

Get On Line.

Today the best way to stay in contact with the market is to go online. Get yourself a computer, preferably a laptop, and an internet connection. A laptop is preferable because you can bring it with you when you move around on holidays or just when you travel away from home. Most areas these days have wireless connections at fast food restaurants. This comes in handy for checking prices and moving money into or out of accounts. At home you need to have a broadband connection and some charting software. Investigate the various types and costs associated with this. Some packages you can use for free during an introduction period. So now your on line, you need to setup a brokerage account.

The Four Specific Attributes Of Stock Options, Part 2

It might seem at first glance that, given the behavior of calls and puts when in the money or out of the money, it would make no difference whether you buy a put or sell a call. As long as expiration and striking price are identical, what is the difference? In practice, however, significant differences do make these two ideas vastly different in terms of risk. When you buy a put, your risk is limited to the amount you pay for premium.

The Art Of Negotiation, Investing In Art, Investing In You, Its About The Money Honey! Part Two

Part Two:

Ask questions, sheesh, never be afraid to ask questions.

Don’t be intimidated by people, they had a first day in kindergarten as well, don’t let people fool you. We all have a beginning to every single thing.

Compare your information with others and define your own set of standards that you want to allow as part of your artful deal making.

Feel good about yourself. You have worked at your technique and it has cost you MONEY to get to where you are. Brushes alone are quite expensive. If you don’t take care of them like me you are buying them constantly. Paints add up and then there is the space you paint in or sculpt in. It all adds up.

Investing Is Like Playing Tennis

I’m not a professional tennis player. I’m not even a tennis player. The last time I touched a tennis racket was 5 years ago. But I did read about how a professional tennis player aims to hit as many balls to the opponent to make him miss, in order to win. An amateur , on the other hand, aims to try to catch as many balls as possible, aiming not to make any mistakes till his opponent eventually makes a mistake and causes himself to lose. That’s defensive playing.

Penny Stocks - Are They Worth Trading?

What are Penny Stocks

Penny stocks are low-priced securities that are currently trading below $5 per share. Often times these stocks have fallen from much higher prices and now trade thinly with low volume. Penny stocks are no longer listed on the major stock exchanges, and are traded on OTCBB or Pink Sheets.

Why trade Penny Stocks

Penny stocks allow a speculator the ability to purchase a large number of shares with a relatively small amount of money. The speculator, then hopes to receive a quick pop in the penny stock, which will yield a large return on their initial investment. If a speculator has a strategy for trading penny stocks, it can be successful; however, the odds of succeeding at this game are slim to none.

Candlestick Reversal Patterns - More Than Meets The Eye

Anyone who studies the stock market has undoubtedly heard of candlestick charting. Their history goes back almost four centuries as a method of technical analysis used by Japanese rice traders. It wasn’t until the early 1990’s that candlestick charting made its way to the western world. As popular as the technique has become in the west, it’s hard to imagine a time when there was little information able to be found on the subject. All a person needs to do is type the term “candlestick charting” into their favorite search engine and they are presented with all types of information on the topic. There are numerous websites, articles, books, software, courses, and videos. There are even candlestick games and flashcards! The subject has been highly commercialized due to the desire of new traders wanting as much information about the subject as possible.
