There are literally hundreds of different trading strategies out there.  Some have their advantages over others.  But no one strategy is perfect.  Trading multiple strategies can allow you to help other strategies weaknesses.

For example say you like to trend trade.  But during a volatile market when the market is not trending you can focus on day trading , or use some other approach to handle the volatile times.  This allows you to switch back and forth between strategies to allow you to make the most at your given time.

Day Trading

There was a time when day trading was considered as the forte of the professional stockbrokers and avid stock market followers. With the growing popularity of online broking, now day-to-day trading is no more a specialized area of investment. Investors with little or no knowledge of the stock market are doing day trading in a big way and there success rate is quite remarkable. Penny Stocks - Are They Worth Trading?

What are Penny Stocks

Penny stocks are low-priced securities that are currently trading below $5 per share. Often times these stocks have fallen from much higher prices and now trade thinly with low volume. Penny stocks are no longer listed on the major stock exchanges, and are traded on OTCBB or Pink Sheets.

Why trade Penny Stocks

Penny stocks allow a speculator the ability to purchase a large number of shares with a relatively small amount of money. The speculator, then hopes to receive a quick pop in the penny stock, which will yield a large return on their initial investment. If a speculator has a strategy for trading penny stocks, it can be successful; however, the odds of succeeding at this game are slim to none.
